New Haven Manufacturing Leader Inducted Into Technology Honor Society

Jerry L. Clupper, executive director of the New Haven Manufacturers Association, will be inducted into the Connecticut College of Technology’s chapter of Epsilon Pi Tau (EPT), Gamma Phi.

EPT is an international honor society for professionals in technology. The society recognizes people who have demonstrated academic scholarship and leadership in science, engineering and technology. EPT includes legislators, CEOs and educators who have demonstrated a commitment to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education.

The induction ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. April 13 at Manchester Community College.

Clupper has led the New Haven Manufacturers Association since 2001. He is vice president of SSI Consulting Group in Woodbridge.

Clupper has more than 30 years of industry experience. He earned a bachelor of science degree in metallurgy with engineering accreditation from Pennsylvania State University. He is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, a Certified Quality Auditor and an ISO Lead Assessor.

Clupper has also been active in ASM International, ASM-Southern Connecticut Chapter, Connecticut Council of Industrial Management Clubs, Bridgeport Business Management Club, American Society for Quality, Statistical Process Control Society, American Society for Testing and Materials, The Wire Association International, and the Society of Plastics Engineers.

The Connecticut College of Technology is a statewide initiative that provides career pathways for students to earn certificates and degrees in engineering and technology disciplines, affiliated with the state’s 12 community colleges and six public and private universities.
